Literally one of my favorite animations on this site to date. Every joke landed for me. Well done guys.

Hey, it was a great ride, and I enjoyed all the stuff you made over the years. Fully understand and respect your decision here. Hoping for the best with your future endeavors!

I was not expecting Between The Buried And Me at all to be on NG. What a surprise.

I see this having a lot of potential as a series, and you have managed to grasp my attention throughout this entire episode well. Mainly with how the elements of the story progressed, with some interesting visual concepts to go along with it. As I believe that storytelling is your strongest suit here, what I would like to see a bit of an improvement on are the visuals! There appeared to be a few inconsistencies with the line weights of the mouth animations compared to the rest of the body. That and some of the hands felt a bit off with how the fingers and palms are arranged too, with an example being at 8:20. Those seemed to stick out a bit but didn't detract from the immersion of the narrative.

I would say that a bit of refining in those departments would benefit this series well, but regardless, this is some rather solid stuff! I'll tag along to see how this unfolds.

Sweet! The music syncing with the animation was a nice direction to take and kept things intriguing throughout. The animations livened up the simplistic characters as well (though the simplicity wasn't a detractor for the most part). Things felt and looked fluid and, overall, was pretty charming for the visual story that was shown. Good stuff here!

Marvelous work! Loved how visually interesting things were in this with the simple yet highly effective character designs. The animation was pretty lively and dynamic too as it heightened the visual presentation (Especially with the flight sequence). Each of the settings worked very well with the bright and foggy forest and the gloomy flight sequence in the latter half. Additionally, I appreciated how the narrative of the song went along fluidly with the animation. The lyrical content was very fitting for what the animation was conveying. All-in-all, fantastic stuff here, tyokio.

Very interesting! The animation style and art direction (especially the coloring) were very pleasing to look at, and I also found the cryptic nature of the animation's theme to be interesting as well. The polygonal character designs added a nice visual flair to the film as well and the subtle movements of said characters really brought things to life. Definitely appreciated the attention to detail there. Not only that, I find the fisheye-esqe lens view of the film to be an interesting choice of things too. Seemed to effectively center the focus more on the characters and the middle of each scene. Additionally, the musical choices and sound effects here were used in a relatively fitting manner and were mixed well. Very cohesive and stellar film!

I suppose in regards to the theme of the short, I appreciated how blunt it was towards drinking water. The message is at least clear there and I can at least appreciate the minimalistic approach to this, but things visually could use a bit of touching up to appear less lifeless. The tube-like limbs for the purple cat doesn't exactly radiate an eye-catching design and feels more like an obstruction (The color choice clashed with the background as well). What appears to be a dune/beach area in the beginning, although maintaining a visual consistency throughout the rest of the short, seems very plain. I think it's somewhat applicable to the last shot as well. I did think, however, that the motion graphics on their own were pretty solid. Also, I would work on the audio mixing as well. An example is the final line of the short where the audio appeared to break/peak. A bit of audio leveling would also help too since the beginning and ending cuts were very loud in comparison to the main animation.

All-in-all I think it's passable in terms of its theme and I think it could've been expanded on a bit more, but some technical touch-ups and visual adjustments would be best in the long run!

I think the animation, visuals and the heartfelt non-verbal narrative were good. Some of the shots could've used a bit of camera panning though. One example would be where the tree sprouting from the ground, the top of the frame awkwardly cuts off the rest of the tree. You could also apply that sort of planning to some of the other animated bits to show visual progression! Additionally, I think the song choice is decent too as it started off promising, but the way it progressed felt a little too exuberant for how the narrative progressed. Overall, not bad stuff here, though some added visual touch-ups would've made this animation great! (Honestly, this would make for an interesting story if fleshed out a bit.)

Quite an auditorial experience and it was very fitting considering the theme of this animated short. I found the varying designs of the 3D characters and how high definition they appeared to be visually intriguing. The big ears suited the character design well as it portrays the theme of the short in a visually simple way. The narrative was pretty straight forward but got the point across and brought along some interesting experimentations with such haphazard yet horrifying sounds. Very nice!
